The Division of Chemical Information, a unit of the American Chemical Society (ACS-CINF) has issued a call for papers for two symposia to occur at the Spring 2011 ACS conference (March 27-31, Anaheim, CA).
Escience, Data Management and US, Research Libraries and Librarians will “explore the challenges and opportunities of supporting escience research and data management in research libraries”.
Chemistry and the Internet “intends to examine what progress has been made in utilizing the technologies of the internet to facilitate chemical information exchange, chemical publishing, and the way chemists actually perform their science.”
Although the symposia are targeted at chemists, the subjects are general enough that information professionals from other disciplines will find them of interest. Further details and submission instructions can be found on the ACS-CINF website.
