Dame Lynne Brindley, Chief Executive of the British Library, announced the issuing of the British Library’s 2020 Vision Strategy during her keynote address at the International Woodstock Literary Festival on September 17. According to the press release about the Strategy, “The vision highlights what are likely to be the key trends and opportunities over the next ten years, indicating how the British Library plans to take advantage of those opportunities to remain a great national library and a major hub of the global information network”. Areas of strategic importance include:
- Digital Natives
- The Semantic Web
- Business Models
- Knowledge Institutions
