Ore from Yore
Meet William Brackston, who has a claim up around Idaho Springs.
He’ll be demonstrating how to pan gold today (Monday) from 10:30-12:30 in the exhibit hall, Booth #961.
You are in a place called the City of Denver today because of a gold rush in the mid-1800s. Though gold was found here, it was soon discovered to be more plentiful in the mountains west of the city.
