Baltimore Bloggers

It’s that time of the year: Special librarians swarming to a city near you (or maybe not so near to you). This year it’s Baltimore. The Information Today Blog People will be in the middle of the action. You can spot us by our green BLOGGER ribbons and Blog People buttons. Several of us are coming in today, Saturday; the rest will arrive bright and early Sunday. Traditionally, Saturday at SLA has two components: continuing education classes and a few business meetings. If you took a class today, find one of the ITI bloggers and tell us what you learned.

Lots of people spend Saturday getting acclimated to the city and picking up registration materials, if those weren’t already mailed to them. I like the idea of having my badge mailed to me–it certainly cuts down on time wasted standing in a registration line! I’ve seen several estimates of the number of attendees in Baltimore, all pretty high, which is good news for SLA.

Exhibits open at noon on Sunday.

I’m looking forward to a terrific few days in Baltimore!
