Popular Workshops Kick Off Computers in Libraries 2006

Several hundred attendees started off Computers in Libraries 2006 early today by attending pre-conference workshops to hear industry luminaries like Gary Price, Steven Cohen, Michael Stephens, and others. The room for Searcher Academy was packed. Pictured here is Mary Ellen Bates passing around handouts while Greg Notess gets started. Web Managers Academy, an all-day workshop like Searcher Academy, buzzed during the opening minutes as Darlene Fichter asked people to talk with their neighbors about their latest projects.

Greg Notess’s workshop this afternoon on how to build an online tutorial in less than 30 minutes is a full 3-hour session, since it seems he needs more than 30 minutes to explain just how to do it!

More workshops are scheduled for Saturday, so to enrich your conference experience stop by the registration desk to register.
