Conference Blogging Kicks It Up a Notch

We’ve got company!

Information Today’s Live in London blog debuted two years ago at Online Information 2003 — one of the early efforts at using a blog to cover a conference. Since then we’ve blogged five other conferences, including two of our own this year, Computers in Libraries and Internet Librarian – and watched conference blogging go mainstream, with most tech conferences offering a blog or a wiki.

The organizers of this conference are no exception, and they’ve decided to do a group blog, inviting all the speakers to contribute. Check out the Online Information Blog at
http://blog.online-information.co.uk/.

We’ll be watching how the blog scene develops this week. And more later on the pros and cons of using blogs or wikis to extend the conference experience and encourage collaboration.
