I stayed after Lee Rainie’s keynote to ask him if he knew of any comparable work being done outside the U.S. (After all, his organization’s mission is studying American life and the Internet.) He suggested I look at research being done at the London School of Economics and the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California. So I poked around a little bit on the Internet (used multiple search engines), and came up with the Digital Divide project at USC and the e-Society Programme at LSE. Thanks, Lee!
