Nordic International Forum
ITI Bloggers December 3rd, 2003
The Nordic International Forum featured four speakers, one each from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. I was particularly interested in the Danish presentation by Kirsten Larsen on the Danish Library Project at www.library.dk. Not only does it facilitate interlibrary lending among all types of Danish libraries — with 1.7 million loan requests so far this year — it also offers the ability for citizens to buy books.
Even Flood, who organized the Forum, noted that 20% of delegates at the conference were from Nordic countries.
